Thanks to persistent lobbying by Friends of Kettering, Respect Rural Recreation signs have been installed at both ends of Manuka Road, Kettering.

The Respect Rural Recreation initiative is a joint project between Kingborough Council, the Trail Riders Action Club (TRAC) and the Department of Infrastructure, Energy and Resources. Respect Rural Recreation is a part of a broader ‘Drive to the Conditions’ message. The aim of the project is to raise awareness of the types of recreational activities undertaken in the rural areas of the Kingborough Municipality – those being horse riding, walking and cycling.
