Heart Foundation Walk Organiser, Elspeth Haughie, reports poetically that local walkers recently ventured further afield.

9 Kettering Wakers– went out for a walk one day,
To ' do ' the Organ Pipe Track– up
Mt Wellington Way.
Walking uphill — over rocks and stoney track,
Then downhill by road, via Sphynx Rock– on the way back.
Beautiful scenery–over Derwent River, Hobart and North West Bay,
Majestic dolorite cliffs behind — making it a wonderful day

Robbie Burns would be proud.

Not only is Elspeth doing her bit for the health of the community, she is actively lobbying Council for improvements to the various walking tracks around the village. For more information on the Kettering Walkers Group click here.
