Kettering Walkers at South Cape Bay

Kettering Walkers are happy walkers

Walk organiser, Elspeth Haughie, reports that members of Kettering Walkers, a local Heart Foundation Walking group recently walked the South Cape Bay track which forms  the eastern-most section of the popular 7-day South Coast Track to Port Davey.

The track  begins at Cockle Creek, at the end of Australia’s most southern road.

The walk is around 7.7Km each way and took the group  5 hours to complete the return journey including a 1 hour lunch stop at South Cape Bay.  Following are a few shots taken along the way (click thumbnails to enlarge).

“We enjoyed the varied walk, the best of weather, and some of  amazing Tasmanian coastal scenery” said Elspeth. “Once again we thank Heart Foundation Walking ,and our regular local walks for keeping us fit and healthy”.
