Last Friday sixteen Kettering Walkers caught the 9.30am ferry to Bruny Island.
Their mission – to tackle the Cape Queen Eizabeth Track.
After the challenging Mars Bluff climb, the walkers enjoyed the Morinna Beach walk followed by lunch at the top of the Cape.
Walk organiser Elspeth Haughie reports that the views of Bruny Island were magical.
The walk was busy, with the Kettering group encountering at least twenty other trekkers.
Six hours after setting out the walkers experienced a ride on the second Bruny Ferry, the MV Bowen which has been in service during the busy tourist season.

As Elspeth says “We are very lucky to have such fantastic walks close by and thank Heart Foundation Walking for keeping us fit and healthy”.
